Improving and perfecting the technical skills are key aspects for the player that they would have to work on constantly during their training and stimulate them to then have the maximum effectiveness in the game situations

In some cases the coach can choose to use some specific instruments that will allow him to analize in more detaill some analytical aspects of the various technical skills. One of these is the "tape".

The specific use of these instrument provides the player with the possibility of being able to focus on some individual aspects that might become difficult to work on during a context of game; Therefore the technical skill can be analyzed more easily by dividing it into different phases:

Preparation phase:
  • Perception of the arrival path of the ball
  • Approaching path to the ball
  • Position and orientation of the support foot or the foot used to jump
  • Opening of arms and its oscillation
  • Swinging of bust, arms and head
  • Equilibrium, preparation of the working angles, use of the working angles

Impact phase
  • Support foot and arm
  • Distance of the ball
  • Foot and arm that hit the ball
  • Perception of the length of the arm or leg that hit the ball
  • Bust, arms and head to favor equilibrium
  • Impact anatomic surface and its orientation over the ball
  • Hit zone of the ball
  • Impact angle of the foot over the ball
  • Where they are looking at during the impact
  • Sequence and rhythm of execution

Compensation phase
  • Final oscillation of the foot that hits the ball
  • Support leg that favors equilibrium and stability for the successive action
  • Recover the regular position of bust, arms and head
By using this instrument, workouts become a real technical training session, allowing our players to become specialists on the skill

In the proposed exercises players can become familiar with multiple situations and then get used to use and improve the skill so that it gets more efficient as time goes by. In this context the coach can try to individually correct their players, verifying each time the improvement level reached by their players.
