Cognitive, Pass, Marking, Transitions |
Create two squares of 5x5 meters with the markers leaving 3 meters between them. On each square place 4 players. Inside the square place 1 player without ball (Red vest) that plays as defender. The 3 remaining players go to the sides of the square with a ball.
- The game is developed as a regular pig in the middle with the players from outside passing the ball between them
- The player from inside must try to intercept the ball
- To the coach's signal the player that has the ball must pass it towards one of the players from outside the other square, to switch the play
- Passes must be executed inside and outside the square
- Every 6 consecutive passes players from outside score 1 point
- If the defender recovers the ball they must drive it outside the square in order to score
- Add a competitive element: the defender that recovers the most balls wins
- Increase or decrease the dimensions of the square based on the age and on players' skills
- The game allows you to teach players how to unmark themselves and place themselves in a proper way as to receive the ball
- Defenders work at an aerobic level, so make sure to provide them with the proper time to recover
- The defender must learn to predict the intentions of the opponent in order to intercept the passes
