Losing your marker, Pass, Intercepting, 4 versus 2, Transitions |
Keep a good amount of balls just outside the pitch.
- Players with the ball placed in their square can only move inside of it
- A player from each team from the adjacent squares go and attack the white team in order to gain the ball
- If one of these players conquers the ball, they pass it to the square where their team is located and then they go back to their square, where they must keep on possessing the ball
- In the square where there is the ball, players always face a 4 vs 2 situation
- If, for example, the ball is regained by a red player and he passes it to their team, then a grey player and a white one will enter the square trying to regain the ball
- Alternate the player that goes to the other square to conquer the ball. All four players must go in turn to conquer the ball
- Each time a group executes 10 consecutive passes without interception gains 1 point
- After 10 consecutive ball passes, the ball possession starts again in the opposite square (diagonal) with another team
- Players have a maximum of three ball touches available (in order to maintain high intensity and speed)
- Perform the exercise with two ball touches
- Place five players on each square
- Encourage players to clear the passing lines by placing themselves in the empty zones
- Take advantage of the playing area width
- Adapt immediately to the attacks from opponents
- Increase or reduce the dimensions of the pitch according to players skills
- Train transitions
