Organization
Create a 22x22-yard area. On each side of the square place three mini goals alternating red and blue markers as shown in the picture. The goals are about 1 yard wide. Divide players into two teams and assign a goal color to each team. Organize players in pairs, each pair duels with one ball. At the end of each series swap pairs.
Description
- The player with the ball plays as a forward while the other one defends. 1 v 1 situations are created
- While dribbling, the player has to score through one of the goals of the color assigned to their team
- Once the goal has been scored, the pair goes back to the center and swaps roles
- If the defender intercepts the ball, they immediately become forward
- Each goal scored is worth one point
- If the ball exits the playing area, the game starts back from the center
- At the end of each round change pair composition
Rules
- Players duel 1 v 1
- Players have free ball touches
- Each pair has to score in different goals from other pairs
Variations
- Add one or more players to create combinations. These players cannot score and can only play with the player that has ball possession
Coaching Points

- Keep the ball under control
- Do not allow the opponent to feel safe by performing feints but without slowing down the action too much
- Keep intensity high
- Protect the ball using arms and body, while managing the ball with the foot that is further from the opponent
- Defending player:
- Find the weaker foot of your rival in order to condition their movements
- Choose the right time to recover the ball
- Keep a defensive posture and focus on the ball
- Memorize where the goals are in order to anticipate the opponent's intentions
