  • Players: 12 + goalkeeper
  • Running time: 10 minutes
  • Series: 2 series of 4 minutes with a 1 minute pause of passive recovery

This exercise contains a series of guided passes with approaching movement of various players
Inside of the foot, Oriented control
Organization
Place 4 cones creating a 25x15 meters rectangle, in the middle of the rectangle place 2 markers leaving 10 meters between them (See picture). Give vests to two of the players, they are going to play the role of defenders and ask them to go with the other two players to the central markers. Distribute the rest of the team on two angles of the rectangle. The goalkeeper goes to one of the short sides of the rectangle
Description
  1. The player on the marker gets closer asking their mate for the ball, followed by a passive pressing from the defender 
  2. After receiving the pass, the player does an oriented control and passes the ball to the teammate standing next to the other cone
  3. The player next to the cone passes the ball to the second player next to the marker, followed by a passive pressing from the defender, who meanwhile has moved sideways to receive the ball
  4. The player, at first touch, passes the ball to the movement of the player who has started the exercise
  5. The player passes the ball across the ground to the goalkeeper
  6. The goalkeeper grabs the ball and passes it to the player who has maintained the race
  7. After receiving the ball, the player goes back to the initial position dribbling

The series continue alternating the starting angle and the offensive players who are next to the markers

 

Rules
  • All the passes must be executed with the inner part of the foot
Variations
  1. Ask players to execute the exercise at first touch
  2. Increase the distances of the game
Coaching Points
  • The exercise must be done without pases between the series 
  • The movement of the player, after the oriented control is executed, must be done in such a way that can trick the rival 
  • The player, during the pass, must hit the ball and accompany its path with the movement of the leg 
  • The ankle must remain rigid when shooting, choosing the right point of impact of the foot over the ball
