Game: Numbered squares corner

Create a sufficient number of squares about 7x7 meters sized to involve all players. Enumerate each corner of the squares using the markers (from 1 to 4 as shown in the figure). Divide the Team into small equal groups and arrange them inside the squares. Each player with a ball.

  • On coach starting signal, each player starts carrying the ball inside the square
  • When coach calls a number from 1 to 4, all players have to carry the ball quickly towards the corresponding corner (the coach alls number 3 in the figure)


  • One point for the group that reaches first the called corner
  • The most points group wins
  1. Perform the game without the ball
  2. Each player bounces the ball using hands instead of feet
Coaching Points
  • Keep the supporting foot close to the ball during ball carrying
  • Keep the body and the chest slightly forward to cover the ball
  • Maintain the ball close to the foot
  • Facilitate a successful development of the exercise by allowing young players to use the favorite foot
  • Enlarge the square sizess for higher classes
