Organization

Make 2 rectangles of 20x10 meters adjacent to the penalty area (As shown in the picture, A and B). Add a defensive player per square with a vest. Place an attacking player in line with the central cone. Place the rest of the players in line with the square that is the farthest to the goal. The coach stands outside the rectangle with sufficient balls for continuity available.

Description
  1. The coach passes the ball to the defender from rectangle A
  2. The defender does an oriented control and passes the ball with a high pass to the forward
  3. The forward does an oriented control and by dribbling takes it to rectangle B, while the second forward moves to the inside of rectangle B

 

 

  1. Attacking players, through a pass or dribbling must try to overcome the defender from rectangle B to then face and overcome defender from rectangle A

In case that attacking players get to overcome defender they are allowed to shoot to goal.

  • The action is interrupted is one of the defenders intercepts or clears the ball
Variations
  1. Increase or decrease the dimensions of the pitch based on the capacities of the players
  2. Limit the number of touches
Coaching Points
  • Encourage the touch and go: After playing the ball with a teammate, the player continues the race, looking for an empty space
  • Work on body orientation during reception, it should be facing the widest part of the pitch
  • Dribbling is useful to avoid possible contrasts with opponents, to create numerical superiority, to get to complete the action, to assist teammate or to make a move become dangerous 
  • Requirements to beat the player: dribbling,senso-perceptive capacity, monopodalic equilibrium, reaction, motor fantasy
  • Dribbling key elements: Face the opponent keeping the ball close to the foot, condition the equilibrium of the opponent by using feints, successive election of the moment to overcome the opponent avoiding its intervention
  • Encourage players to keep their head up while dribbling
